Chennai-based transport operators Parveen Travels Group launched first of its proposed ‘quick service’ restaurant chain — PitStop — on East Coast Road on Wednesday. The brand is owned by AB Resorts and Restaurants Pvt Ltd, a new entity floated by Praveen Travels for the purpose.“We are planning to take the PitStop brand to all major highways across the State very soon through the franchisee route,” said Mr A. Aarif, Managing Director, AB Resorts and Restaurants. However, the company will open a few outlets in Chennai and in some highways on its own, to start with.
The outlet on ECR, which has a dining space of 4,000 sq ft, will serve a range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian fast food, including fried chicken, burgers, pizzas and pastas. It also has a separate party and banquet area with Wi-Fi connectivity for small corporate meetings.
